Crossword Puzzle Pieced Wallhanging

I made this small (33x33) wallhanging for Alan for his birthday, partly because he loves crosswords but also because I have been collecting way too many black and white fabrics and needed to use them. Piecing went easier than I thought it would and it actually turned out looking like the puzzle I modeled it on (called BTW New York, New York). My friend quilted it for me because I don't have a walking foot for my machine.

Lambent jitters

This is a wall-hanging I made for my sister-in-law to make up for forgetting to make her a birthday card last year. It was inspired by a vision I saw briefly of reflected street lights out a bus window one night when we were visiting her in Colorado. I knew that it would be abstract as I was planning it, but I didn't realize how far it would go from what I saw. Her birthday isn't until next month, but I think I can count on her not seeing this blog entry. Hope she likes it.

Sarah's Birthday Quilt

I made this patchwork wallhanging for my sister-law, Sarah's birthday present. It is 27 inches square, pieced with batik fabric in my own design.
