I've just begun a new altered book. At this point, it has no theme other than the intention to do each page primarily in soulcollage style. Working from my now vast quantity of magazine images, I first chose the background, which I believe was from National Geographic, and then found myself adding statues of men. Kate, you may have to repost this. I can't get it to give me a larger view and can't read the caption. The visual is fantastic!
I couldn't get it to give a larger view either. I think it might be because the original is larger than usual. The caption reads "Idealistic notions of beauty getting you down? Welcome to my world"
You are still "giving us a gift" by sharing your art with us here but I am so happy to see you are also giving yourself one. "Art for Art's Sake" does wonders for all our hearts. p.s. I can't wait to see the rest of your pages here.
